![]() Can Nexus 7 do all of this right?ĮDIT: Thank you for quick answers! Now I'm fully convinced to place Nexus 7 in my purchase list! TL DR: Smooth playback of 1080p videos, support of many popular codecs, MKV support, soft subtitles. Good handling of MKV files (ability to choose from multiple audios and subtitles),Ībility to keep and play files larger than 4GB (limitation of PS3 due to used file system - FAT32). Support of every popular and commonly used audio and video codec, ![]() The things I would want from N7 in order to be satisfied: It would replace my PS3 and TV's built-in video player - neither of those play their role good enough, mostly because of poor codec support. I plan to use it as a main (and portable) video player in my house and connect it to the TV either through HDMI-out or Miracast. While I don't worry about it's capability as and e-book reader, I have to ask some questions regarding it's video player performance. It would be mostly used as an e-reader and video player. ![]() I'm considering the purchase of Nexus 7 (II gen.).
